T-72 Anti-Drone Cage Armor System
The T-72 cope cage is a purpose-designed standoff armor system for the T-72 main battle tank platform. Developed to counter the growing threat of FPV drones, loitering munitions, and top-attack RPGs, this cage armor provides a physical standoff barrier that disrupts shaped charge warheads before they contact the turret's primary armor envelope.
Dengtai's T-72 cope cage is engineered from 12mm AR500 armor steel with a optimized grid geometry that maximizes protection while minimizing weight. The bolt-on mounting system attaches to existing T-72 turret hardpoints with no drilling or permanent modification required. Full 360-degree turret rotation is maintained with clearance margins built into the design.
Each cope cage kit includes pre-drilled mounting brackets, Grade 8.8 hardware, anti-seize treated fasteners, and detailed installation instructions. All fabrication is performed to AWS D1.1 structural welding standards with optional MIL-STD-1185 quality inspection. Field-proven in operational environments against FPV drone threats.
