Slat armor, also known as bar armor or cage armor, is a standoff protection system designed to defeat RPGs, anti-tank guided missiles, and FPV drones by disrupting shaped-charge warheads before they impact the vehicle's main armor. Dengtai specializes in fabricating custom slat armor solutions for military vehicles, MRAPs, armored personnel carriers, and static defense positions.
Our fabrication process uses premium AR400 and AR500 abrasion-resistant steel, precision CNC cutting, and MIL-SPEC welding techniques to create slat armor panels that meet or exceed battlefield requirements. Every assembly is jig-welded for dimensional accuracy and undergoes NDT inspection to verify weld integrity.
From initial CAD design to final coating and crating, Dengtai manages the entire fabrication lifecycle. We offer bolt-on and weld-on mounting configurations, multiple steel grade options, and protective coatings including CARC paint, powder coating, or galvanized finish. All products are backed by full dimensional reports, material certifications, and weld inspection documentation.
